The acquisition of the company in spring 2015 strengthens Fedrigoni Group (one of the largest paper milll in the world, based in Italy)  as the South America’s largest player in the high added value paper sector. The history of this plant dates back to 1888 when the Industria de Papel e Celulose de Salto inaugurated the first paper machine in Brasil. 

With a production capacity of about 20,000 tons/year, most of which of high value banknote paper, an area of 98,000 m2 and 400 employees, the mill is now the main brasilian producer in security products, special graphic papers and the unique plant to produce banknote paper in Latin America.

Vera Lopes is an executive with more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning for luxury products. Working for De Beers, performed the role of Marketing Development Director for the Brazilian Market and Account Director at JWT. After that, as Marketing Director for Latin America at Anglogold, the largest gold producer worldwide, organized the first Designer Forum sponsored by the company in Brazil. Presently, Vera Lopes is a consultant for exports of Brazilian jewelry to companies and associations supported by APEX – Brazilian Export Agency. Graduated in Communications, Vera is ahead of the Luxury Marketing Council since its inauguration in 2007. She is a member of WCD – Womens Corporate Directors and teaches Luxury Marketing at EID – European Institute of Design.
