Edie Rodriguez is president and chief executive officer of Crystal Cruises, the world’s most awarded luxury cruise line. Rodriguez joined Crystal as president and COO in October 2013; she was promoted to president and CEO following the acquisition of Crystal Cruises by Genting Hong Kong in May 2015. A 35-year veteran in the international cruise, travel and technology industries, with a successful track record and great understanding of the luxury segment that has seen her rise to be the only female CEO in the luxury cruise industry, Rodriguez previously served as senior vice president of marketing and sales for the upscale division of other major cruise companies. On July 19, 2015, Rodriguez unveiled the blueprint for a major brand expansion for Crystal, to take place over the next three years. Dubbed by the travel and hospitality industry as the largest expansion in history for any luxury brand, Rodriguez will lead and oversee the introduction of three new classes of ships and vessels with Crystal Yacht Cruises, Crystal River Cruises, and Crystal Exclusive Class of ocean vessels – and Crystal Charter Air and Crystal Luxury Air.
Rodriguez grew up in New York, and when not traveling for business on American Airlines seat 3A, she splits her time at Crystal’s Los Angeles headquarters, and resides near Crystal Cruises’ branch office in Miami, Florida with her husband Tom. She has one son, Max.
