about the brands

Now into the third vintage, the team at Decades 5 Napa Valley has become intimately familiar with the power and structure that comes from the volcanic soils on Stagecoach Vineyard.  These soils, coupled with high altitude of over 1,400 feet above sea level, create an extreme growing environment suited for an extreme wine. Decades 5 Napa Valley has lived by the philosophy that great wine begins in the vineyard, and to truly capture the essence of Petit Verdot, less is more.  Through a long and slow fermentation with only natural yeasts and never fining or filtering, Decades 5 is a time capsule of a moment and a place.  With years of experience in both Bordeaux and Napa Valley, winemaker Jean Hoefliger straddles the old and the new, respecting Petit Verdot’s old world roots, but embracing its new world home.  The result is a wine unlike any other, cellar worthy for decades to come.

Decades 5 Napa Valley is available for tasting at Vintner’s Collective, located in the heart of downtown Napa, at 1245 Main St., Napa, CA. Reservations are suggested, but not required
