LEADERSHIP is as palpable as it is ephemeral.  But we all know and feel the power of it when we experience it.  In all walks of life leadership is universally one of the most coveted and priceless of resources.  Consider the following:
 • Only 7% of all employees trust their leaders. (“Strategy+Business – June 2012”)
 • Estimates of managerial incompetence range from 30 percent to 75 percent.  65 to 75 percent of organization members report that their immediate boss is the worst aspect of their current employment. The failure rate among senior executives is 50 percent. (Robert Hogan and Robert Kaiser, authors of  “What We Know About Leadership.”)

Christine MacNulty has more than 40 years of experience as a consultant in long-term strategic planning for concepts as well as organizations, technology forecasting, technology assessment, foresight, and related areas, as well as socio-cultural change. She is passionate about assisting leaders of commercial and government organizations to thrive in these turbulent times, and she delights in exceeding their expectations. Early in her career she began to use workshops to gain leadership commitment to their strategic plans. For the last 20 years, most of her consulting work has been conducted for the Department of Defense, and she has also provided consulting services for various Fortune Global 500 companies in the United States, the UK, and Western Europe, in areas of strategy, marketing, advertising, education, and training. MacNulty has also contributed methods and models for understanding social and cultural change, especially values, beliefs and motivations.  At the request of several of her clients, she is now offering Master Minds in change and transformation, as well as strategic consultation.

She was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce in 1988. She is the coauthor of two books: Industrial Applications of Technology Forecasting (Wiley) and Strategy with Passion: A Leader’s Guide to Exploiting the Future. Her paper: “Method for minimizing the negative consequences of nth order effects in strategic communication actions and inactions” was published in NATO Defence Strategic Communications Journal, p 99, Winter 2015. Her monograph “Truth, Perception & Consequences” was published by the Army War College (September 2007) and “Transformation: From the Outside In or the Inside Out” was also published by the Army War College (September 2008). Her paper, “Perceptions, Values & Motivations in Cyberspace” appeared in the IO Journal, (3rd Quarter, 2009), and “The Value of Values” for IO, SC & Intel was published in the IO Journal (August 2010). She has been featured on the Heartbeat of America television program as the owner of an innovative small business. She was also the developer and co-host of the radio program Strategy with Passion that aired on Business Channel from May-December 2009.

Dr. Christopher J. Cyphers

Dr. Christopher J. Cyphers joined LIM College as Executive Vice President in July of 2012, bringing with him two decades of professional experience as an educator and administrator. In 2014 his role was expanded to include the title of Provost. Currently, Dr. Cyphers has direct oversight and responsibility for the following offices and departments: Academic Affairs, Admissions, Experiential Education & Career Management, Graduate Studies, Instructional Technology, Institutional Research, Planning & Assessment, Registrar, Student Affairs, and Student Success.

Prior to coming to LIM College, Dr. Cyphers was President of the New York School of Interior Design. During his tenure there he created six new degree programs; oversaw the design and construction of a graduate center; undertook a successful institutional rebranding; presided over the largest enrollment increase in the School’s history; and raised close to five million dollars for capital projects and scholarships.

Before the New York School of Interior Design, Dr. Cyphers was Provost of the School of Visual Arts, where he taught cultural and intellectual history. He has also served as senior research associate and chief of staff in the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Urban Affairs at the City University of New York.

Dr. Cyphers has presented scores of refereed papers on American social and political history, as well as on the subject of art and education in the United States. He is the author of The National Civic Federation and the Making of a New Liberalism, and has written several articles on issues facing higher education.

Legacy has worked with a particular client in the high-end luxury market, namely business jets which sell for $30 million and up. In just 18 months realized a $9.6 billion sale when all delivered as intended. This was an uncertain outcome to say the least in fact they were not even going to bid on the RFQ because they were not asked to. Something dramatically happened which Robert will gladly share with you at the luncheon.

Renovation Angel

Steve spent 18 years in the radio business as a disc jockey, Program Director, and Senior Marketing Manager at WWRX-FM, Providence, Rhode Island (America’ first independent Imus in the Morning syndicate), a Clear Channel Radio station. The idea for Renovation Angel was developed while fund-raising in March 2001. Steve observed the demolition of a 10,000 sq. ft. Rockefeller estate mansion in Greenwich, CT. During the next four years a pilot project was developed, specializing in the donations of luxury kitchens and appliances, bathrooms, lighting, architectural artifacts, and home décor from upscale neighborhoods in Fairfield County, Connecticut and Westchester County, New York.

Steve’s motivation for starting Renovation Angel was giving back for his own recovery from addiction. Steve’s life was saved 28 years ago through a life-saving addiction recovery program. A former teenage drug and alcohol abuser raised in Poughkeepsie, NY, Steve suffered two bouts of serious suicidal depression before his recovery in 1988.

In 2005, Steve Feldman founded Green Demolitions in Greenwich, Connecticut. Green Demolitions has now spread its wings to become Renovation Angel, America’s premier recycler of luxury pre-owned kitchens and renovation items. Steve and his team of professionals have conducted projects for members of the Forbes 400, Celebrities, Sports Stars, and High-Net Worth property owners.
